To Enable Remote Connections (if required)

  1. Open SQL Server Configuration Manager (Start > Microsoft SQL Server > Configuration Tools > SQL Server Configuration Manager).
  2. Expand SQL Server Network Configuration.
  3. Select Protocols for MSSQLSERVER.
  4. Make sure that your required protocol is enabled, usually TCP/IP.
